On the first day of Advent, a rainy Sunday, the Choir of the Warsaw Stage Society had the pleasure to perform in the beautiful ascetic interior of the Evangelical Reformed Church at Al. Solidarity in Warsaw.
Under the reliable baton of Lilka Krych, we sang fragments of J.S.’s Advent cantatas. Bach with the accompaniment of Łukasz Mosur on the organ. During the concert you could hear m.in. Chaconne in D minor for solo violin, also by the Leipzig cantor, performed by Zofia Endzelm and two arias for soprano, violin and cello by Georg Friedrich Handel, which was performed by a chamber trio consisting of Zofia Smolarska – soprano, Zofia Endzelm – violin and Agata Duszek – cello.
The performance was warmly received by a small but grateful audience. Thank you!
