Preparations are underway for the Advent concert as part of the Mokotów Music Salons project, which returns to the tradition of home music-making. In the meantime, we present an account of the November meeting!
The first concert of the project took place at ul. Balloon 17 at the extremely hospitable Jasiewicz family. The guests came in large numbers and had a great time! What was going on? “During the rain, children get bored” from the Cabaret of Elderly Men, “About Mr. Barraliński” by Witold Lutosławski to the words of Julian Tuwim, “The Late Nightingale” by Witold Lutosławski to the words of Julian Tuwim, “Drunken Babas” – words and music: Kazimierz Czekotowski, “Carousel” by Stanisław Nawrocki to the words of Xenia Żytomirska, “My head hurts” – words and music by Grażyna Bacewicz, “Parades” by Aaron, “It’s Time for Sleep” from the Cabaret of Elderly Men. The author of the Mokotów Music Salons is Zofia Solarska, a graduate of AT Theatre Knowledge, musician, theatre instructor, author of animation projects, performances and short video forms. The idea of the project of the Warsaw Stage Society is to return to home music making. The Association provides performers (singer and accompanist), concert conduct and organizational facilities. The host receives a pool of invitations that he can distribute to neighbors from the block, yard or housing estate. The project is particularly addressed to children and young people. The project is supported by the Mokotów District.
The next concert will take place on December 20, and below we present a photo report from the first meeting of the Mokotów Music Salons.
