World premiere of Rafał Ryterski's work as part of the festival "Sinfonia Varsovia to your city"

August 11, 2020 LIVE!!! in the summer pavilion of Sinfonia Varsovia in Warsaw, the Hashtag Ensemble will perform. The programme of the concert will include a new piece by one of the most interesting composers of the young generation – Rafał Ryterski.

“Sea of Prism” is subtitled “A Cod’s Lullaby”, because the inspiration for this work is the ecological catastrophe taking place before our eyes – in this work observed by the composer through the prism of the Baltic Sea and the drastically decreasing cod population in it.

Rafał Ryterski is known to the audience for his fascination with electronics, which can also be found in this latest piece – multi-layering, live processing and constant interweaving of “live” sounds with electronic ones is one of the main means of expression in “Sea of Prism”.

The concert takes place as part of the new summer cycle “Experimental Tuesdays”, curated by Wioletta Żochowska. In addition to the world premiere of “Sea of Prism”, the program will also include: “Shades of Ice” by Agata Zubel, “Figures on the Sand… the wanderings of the eternal scarab… ” Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil and “Three Women” by Agnieszka Stulgińska.
