We are very happy to announce that we are officially taking part in the worldwide celebration of the centenary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, participating in the independent opera project “The Rape of Lucretia”.
The project of young Warsaw artists is being created under the aegis of the Warsaw Stage Society in cooperation with the Opera Institute, acting as a separate unit associating the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, the Theatre Academy of Warsaw. A. Zelwerowicz and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The project was also under the separate patronage of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
The director of the performance is Kamila Michalak, the musical direction is performed by Lilianna Krych, and Krzysztof Garstka is responsible for the preparation of the soloists. On the stage we will see m.in. Jadwiga Niebelska, Magdalena Krysztoforska-Zaborowska, Tomasz Raff and Aleksandra Klimczak. The premiere of “The Rape of Lucretia” is scheduled for February 8, 2013 at the Collegium Nobilium Theatre in Warsaw at ul. Miodowa 22. The next performances will take place on 9 and 10 February 2013. We cordially invite you!
